We can help you make your fundraising goals a reality with our popular Red Cross courses.

Fundraising Steps

Step 1 – Organize Your Group

Step 2 – Choose the Course Date and Time

Step 3 – We will charge you the cost per Student, you set your own price and make a profit!

Minimum 12 Students. Maximum 25 Students (per class).

You are responsible for:

  • Collecting registrations and payments
  • Arrange classroom/gym space with location
  • Issue a single cheque to First Aid Hero
  • Having a responsible adult present during the training.

Our Fundraising Courses

Red Cross Babysitting

Ages 11-15 / Grades 6-8
8 hours in class
  • How to be responsible and demonstrate leadership
  • How to make good decisions and manage difficult behaviours
  • Information on children’s developmental stages, and specific strategies for each stage
  • How to feed, diaper, dress, and play with children and babies
  • How to recognize and prevent unsafe situations, make safe choices and promote safe behaviours
  • The business of babysitting
  • First aid skills such as:
    • Check, Call, Care (includes phoning EMS/911)
    • Conscious choking (adult/child/baby/alone)
    • CPR (baby/child)
    • Asthma (includes use of inhaler and spacer)
    • Anaphylaxis (includes use of EpiPen)
    • Poisoning
    • Insect Stings
    • Wound Care (i.e. minor cuts and scrapes, splinters, nosebleeds, bumps and bruises, life-threatening bleeding, burns)
    • Head, Neck and Back Injuries
    • Broken Bones
    • Seizures

Red Cross Stay Safe

Ages 9-13 / Grades 4-5
6 hours in class
  • Importance of responsibility and respect while being accountable for yourself
  • Importance of setting and following rules around safety when staying on your own
  • How to stay safe at home and within the community
  • How to prepare for, recognize and respond to unexpected situations 
  • Basic first aid skills including:
    • Check, Call, Care (includes phoning EMS/911)
    • Conscious choking (adult/child/alone)
    • Feeling unwell
    • Asthma (includes use of inhaler and spacer)
    • Anaphylaxis (includes use of EpiPen)
    • Poisoning
    • Insect Stings
    • Wound care (i.e. minor cuts and scrapes, splinters, nosebleeds, bumps and bruises, life-threatening bleeding, burns)

My Safe Life

Ages 7-10
5 hours in class
  • People Safety
  • Tricky people/inappropriate adult behaviours
  • Safe strangers and strangers to avoid
  • Bullying Prevention
  • Being Assertive and getting help from busy adults
  • Basic self defence
  • Building Strong Communities (Respect, Kindness and Manners)
  • Online Safety
  • Travel Safety
  • Fire Safety
  • Injury Prevention
  • Emergencies vs Non-Emergencies
  • Basic First Aid

Each instructor is committed to delivering high-quality education in a manner that is engaging, informative, and tailored to the needs of young learners. Their dedication to empowering youth with life-saving knowledge is unwavering. All Instructors have also had a criminal record check.
